Account Manager (Software Solutions Sales) - basic salary of £25-30k is offered with an OTE to £50k in your first year.
Candidate wishing to be considered for this position should live no more than 45 minutes drive from Watford.
THE COMPANY: Our client is the leading supplier of strategic business modelling software into market leading companies. Their flagship product is a multi-user Windows package which provides a variety of graphical diagramming tools, together with an animated simulator, based on a relational database and in multiple languages. Major investment has recently been made in the Development Team to ensure that the company`s latest product offerings remain market-leading, competitive and cutting-edge. The company is medium-sized and the working environment is friendly and informal, but high standards are expected. Financial highlights 2004 vs 2003: 28% revenue growth, 51% profit growth. The company`s customer base has grown rapidly, with organisations such as Deloitte & Touche, Edinburgh City Council, PWC, Pfizer, NPower, RBS, Starbucks, Pitney Bowes, Equifax, Baxter Healthcare, HP*Compaq, Allied Irish Bank, Siemens, HM Customs and Excise, Bank of America and many more recently placing major orders.
PRODUCTS & SERVICES OVERVIEW: These enable companies to visualise, document and optimise business processes and systems. The product families are: Product A - enables accurate modelling, analysis and design of winning business processes and enterprise architectures Product B - aligns IT and corporate strategy with the CIO`s `cockpit` for enterprise-wide IT planning Product C - aligns and measures business unit and process performance to deliver corporate objectives
ROLE OVERVIEW: Level of contact: Senior level management in the commercial and technical community - probably reporting directly to CIO, COO, etc or equivalent Business mix: 40% new business * 60% existing account development Source of leads: You will be expected to do some cold calling - leads are also generated from our client`s website and from referrals via consulting partners. There is also an internal telemarketing team which generates qualified sales leads for the outside sales team. Typical order values: from £10k to £100k (average new business order is approx £30k) Sector focus: your target sector will be Government & Local Authority - ideally you should have experience of software solutions sales into at least one of these sectors
PERSON SPECIFICATION Education: Bachelors degree preferred Ideal profile: A history of exceeding sales quotas with good knowledge of and experience within the software solutions industry experience Proven ability in formulating & executing sales strategies to close sales opportunities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent time and resource management skills Highly polished client-facing presentation, negotiation & closing skills Quick-witted with great problem-solving skills Strategic thinker
BENEFITS PACKAGE A basic salary of £25-30k is offered with an OTE to £50k in your first year. 2nd year in the role should generate £60k+ OTE.
